PSO-Based Feedrate Optimization Algorithm for Five-Axis Machining with Constraint of Contour Error

Feedrate has a great influence on contour error in five-axis machining. Accordingly, it is of significance to plan the time-optimal feedrate curve considering constraint achieve high-accuracy and high-efficiency Aiming at improving control accuracy model linearization loss optimizing machining time, PSO-based optimization algorithm for with proposed this paper. Firstly, relationship between parametric clarified that provides basis accurately controlling by curve. Then, model, which takes vertices expressed B-spline as decision variables minimizes time objective, established. Subsequently, overcome shortcomings low efficiency caused single global vertices, group search particle swarm (GSPSO) based window movement adopted optimize segments. Finally, effectiveness validated three typical test toolpaths an open double-turntable machine tool. In light experiment, able fully release potential tools while cutter tip orientation.
